CSP-SM Course Introduction

Certified Scrum Professional-ScrumMaster is the highest certification you can achieve in the curriculum to the path of being a ScrumMaster.

The course builds on what you have learnt in the Certified ScrumMaster Certification (CSM) and the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster Certification (A-CSM).  The focus of this certification is to provide you with deeper knowledge on the ScrumMaster role and their advancement as a successful leader in advocating and evangelizing Scrum within their organizations. Apart from the Scrum knowledge the workshop will equip you with valuable tools and techniques to become a better Scrum leader.

This dynamic workshop goes beyond the theory and builds on your understanding of the subject based on our experiences and knowledge while training and coaching multiple organizations. The workshop also focuses on boosting your career by improving your knowledge of scrum practice and your training abilities.

Prerequisites

Steps to attain CSP-SM Certification

  • Step 1: Hold a A-CSPO® from Scrum Alliance (depending on your track.) You may not substitute a certification from a different track (i.e., using a A-CSPO® for an CSP-SM course.)
  • Step 2: Attend a minimum 16-hour CSP-SM. You may find in-person, live online, and/or mentoring courses by visiting our Course Search
  • Step 3: Successfully complete all educator-designed components of an approved educational offering. This may include pre- or post-course work as deemed necessary by your approved educator to complete the learning objectives
  • Step 4: Accept the CSP-PO License Agreement and complete your Scrum Alliance membership profile.
  • Step 5: Validate at least 24 months of work experience specific to the role of Product Owner (within the past five years.) This can be met before or after attending the course. Work experience is entered and validated on your Scrum Alliance account.
